Welcome!!

Welcome to our class! My name is Kerri Hacking. I am excited to be your teacher and help you learn and grow this year. On this website I will try to update calendar items, spelling lists (in case you forget yours at school, I'm sure that will NEVER happen), also just fun updates for us.

A little about me... I grew up in Simi Valley, CA I met my husband Ryan at BYU while I was studying dance in the dance department. After we both graduated we moved to Preston Idaho where we continued to raise 5 children. While there I served on the theater board and directed many musicals and my own children's musical workshop. About 5 years ago we moved back to Utah and I decided to go back to school and get my teaching credentials and I started teaching 4th and then 5th grade.

I love the 5th grade curriculum. I have gained a greater love for our country and forefathers and how the choices they made affect me. One thing I want students to always remember:

Thirty years from now it won't matter what shoes you wore, what jeans you bought, or how you wore your hair, what will matter is what you learned and how you used it.

SUMMER CLEAR CREEK!!

Our school district offers the opportunity for 5th graders to attend summer clear creek. The registration fee is $150 and begins on April 14th. This fills up really fast so if you are interested plan on showing up in the office at the beginning of school on the 14th with your money and registration forms. I will be sending the registration information tomorrow.
Summer clear creek is a Monday through Friday program for various weeks throughout the summer. The weeks are designated either male or female. When you apply they will let you know for sure which week you have gotten into.
This is such a great program that I'm even going and working 2 of the girls' weeks this year!

Sock Hop

The school is having a sock hop on Friday March 12th bring your friends and family to enjoy a night together...
